I enjoy the challenge of working with a client who has low self-esteem. This client might experience depression, relationship issues, worry about doing things wrong and feel like a failure. The client might not be able to identify specific goals/needs. The client wants higher self-esteem so she can feel better about herself. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an effective treatment for low self-esteem. People develop negative beliefs about themselves throughout their lifetimes, and it can be unpleasant for them to confront those "core beliefs." I help clients identify their core beliefs and develop healthier, more flexible beliefs as well as replace self-criticism with compassion. Counseling is all about change, and my therapeutic approach includes supporting you in the process of self-discovery, self-awareness, and personal empowerment through exploring motivations, triggers, and patterns as well as identifying personal strengths that help you achieve your goals and live your best life.
