Aloha Kakou, my name is Chasdy Wright, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Hawai`i. I enjoy working with self-aware women who want to improve their self-esteem, confidence, and relationship skills so they can feel less anxious, depressed, and alone in life. People-Pleasers and Perfectionists, I am here for you. This provider resides in Hawaii. My approach is to explore the thoughts, feelings, and BELIEFS that are not working, using a variety of modalities, including Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also use experiential activities, strength-based stories, and solution-focused processing to support you in having “AHA moments,” shift your perspective, and move forward toward a future you would love. My style and approach seem to be a good fit for women ages 15-35 who relate to people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-criticism. Overachievers and over-thinkers that feel stuck stressed, and scared of letting others down appreciate my open attitude. I empower them to trust themselves, practice self-love, have healthier relationships, and finally enjoy their accomplishments. My communication style is friendly, honest, and emphatic. I am interested in my client’s stories and listen without criticism. I also believe this self-discovery process can be fun, so we even smile and laugh in sessions. Growing up in Hawai`i, I learned to take care of others and would push myself so hard to accomplish my goals. In my mental health journey, I have seen how it important it is to also take care of myself and enjoy my success instead of always being so hard on myself. Since I can remember, I have been reading self-help books, making vision boards, and having deep heart-to-hearts with people. I am so inspired by this work and by people who have been through so much and continue to work on loving others and themselves. We will look at a few things when setting goals. First is where you are now and what are your pains and discomforts.
