Hello and welcome to Scott’s Counseling services. I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing if we can work together to bring balance and wholeness to your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in treating the whole person. I am trained to work with individuals, groups and families, and community organizations. I Prefer to work with individuals ages 18 and older. I help my clients by helping them reach their fullest potential through identifying and addressing obstacles they face which challenge their progress towards complete wellness.

I am holistic in my approach and view of the client. I have a strength based perspective, meaning that I work with the client to find out what strong natural skills and talents they possess that can be used as a launching point to tackle issues causing hardship in the individual’s life. I use evidenced-based practices working collaboratively with the client bringing balance to the whole person: Spirit, Soul, and Body.

My therapeutic approach and treatment plan at Scott’s Counseling Services help clients reach their fullest potential in life to include love, work, play, understanding of self, and spirituality. I see the significance of genetics, environment, cultural and social structure as factors which shape an individual’s personality and lifestyle. I have an optimistic view of human nature and see the good and potential in people. I believe people are motivated by love, their sense of belonging, a desire to contribute to others.

Some people just need insight and understanding of their own innate strengths and how to use their coping skills. Some may need to develop new skills to cope with the strong emotions. Others just require learning and gaining understanding about what has happened to them. Whatever the need, I work with you to develop a treatment made just for you.
