Hello and welcome!

I am so happy that you decided to take the first step in making a change. I know that it may have taken a lot of courage to take the first step, but you should be proud that you did. On our journey through life, we will endure many twists and turns, but how we navigate, makes all the difference. I am here to help you navigate those twists and turns from an understanding, non-judgmental, open-minded, supportive, and interactive perspective.

My name is Chanel Scales and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have over 7 years of experience. I have worked with clients to assist them with processing/managing an array of concerns to include: depression, anxiety, HIV, LGBTQ+, substance use (current and past), self-esteem, parenting, finances, traumatic related issues, relationship issues, mood disorders, and ADHD. I believe in using a combination of approaches, as there is no one size fit all. Some approaches that I utilize include: person-centered, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, spiritual, and solution-focused.

I believe in treating everyone with the respect that they deserve and being straightforward, not just telling you what I think you want to hear. My goal is to provide you with tools that you can utilize beyond our sessions to be successful. I am delighted to work with you and be part of your journey.
