Hi there, I'm Celeste! My name is Celeste Thompson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Inland Empire in California and serving clients across the state via telehealth. Therapy is a vulnerable space, and one of my primary focuses is providing clients with a safe place where they feel seen, heard, valued and where their challenges and concerns are explored with curiosity and empathy. I work with clients to address a variety of concerns including unresolved trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting, and life transitions by building on the client's strengths and resilience. My approach My approach to therapy is relational and client-centered. The most effective approaches to change are only truly effective when built on a foundation of trust and connection in a therapeutic relationship. The theoretical approach for each client is dependent on their needs and could include trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR or attachment-based therapy. My approach is to provide a safe nonjudgmental space, meet the client where they are and build on their strengths and resilience to progress to where they desire to be. My focus I work with a variety of ages from children to adults to explore the impact of current and past experiences on how they are feeling and functioning now. Whether these experiences have translated to depression, anxiety, parenting, and relationship challenges, or another concern, we will explore them together. I believe it is important to allow clients to guide the exploration, at their pace. My communication style My communication style is calm, conversational personable and humorous as appropriate. It is important that my clients feel connection and comfortable with sharing what is important to them. My goal is that each client feels heard.
