My name is Cecilia Vasquez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of California and Colorado. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe that therapy is a safe place for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in order to gain insight, feedback, and support to make positive changes and improve your life. I have over a combination of 28 years in social work and clinical practice. My experience has taught me that the most important aspect of counseling by far is the connection and comfort you feel with the person you choose to share your personal struggles with. I believe we can all grow through challenging experiences by increasing our self-awareness. Sometimes another person can offer a new perspective and additional support to give the person the motivation to change or problem solve a difficult situation that keeps us feeling hopeless. I believe in being open-minded and non-judgmental when you share your personal story or experiences with me. The relationship we build with ourselves and others is important and beneficial to individuals exploring counseling. I believe when working with clients, there is mutual respect and trust between the individual and the therapist to provide the best therapeutic experience possible.
