Hello! My name is Cecelia Salamone and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from the State of Michigan. I have a M. A. in Counseling and B.S. in Education with Certification – Secondary and Elementary. I believe it is important to create an accepting, respectful, compassionate, encouraging environment. My approach is to develop a relaxed, empathic, non-judgmental, connection. Sometimes the first step is most challenging. I applaud you for reaching out to Find A Therapist for counseling. To help reduce stress, anxiety or other negative emotions, I use Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping.
We all have a unique story. Perhaps you have had your story since you were a child, teenager, or possibly a few years or months ago. I would be honored if you would take me into your confidence and share it. You have lived your life and you are the expert. I will work cooperatively to devise approaches and solutions that work best for you. We will strive to reach your potential and work towards a sense of healing, joy, self-understanding and HOPE. Since Laughter is the Best Medicine – I have a great sense of humor and laughter is part of who I am. Laughter helps us stay mentally healthy, relaxes the body, reduces stress and anxiety.
