Hi! My name is Cassie Carroll. I am a licensed independent social worker in clinical practice (LISW-CP). I am devoted to helping individuals grow and overcome their obstacles in life. I take a client-centered approach with all of my clients. I believe in meeting you where you are and helping you identify and develop the tools you need to achieve all of your therapeutic goals. My approach I take a client-centered approach with all of my clients. I firmly believe that everyone has the ability to be, and do, whatever their heart desires, and I am here encourage you and help you develop the tools you need to achieve all of your goals. My focus I have worked with clients from all walks of life. I am able to work with anyone. I have found myself to be drawn to adolescents, individuals struggling with substance abuse, and individuals dealing with various mental health conditions. My communication style My goal is for the client to be comfortable. I want you to be relaxed and feel like you can speak openly to me. I try to ensure a judgement free, relaxing, and empathetic atmosphere. I want you to feel safe, relaxed, and heard. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up, I knew I wanted to help others, but I was not sure how I would do that. During my undergrad career, I changed my major several times before settling on Social Work. I then pursued my master's degree in social work, wher we had to do several field placements. During this time, I was lucky enough to complete my field placement in a private practice setting where I was able to get hands on experience working with individuals. Everyone needs someone in their corner to encourage them, motivate them, and help them overcome various obstacles, and I wanted to be that person for as many people as I can. My goals for you Goal setting is heavily dependent on the client. Therapy is about you, therefore the goals are all about you. Generally, I have the client identify a couple of goals.
