About

My name is Cassandra and I'm a licensed mental health counselor. I understand that when client's consider counseling, often they are unsure of what to expect and maybe a little scared of the unknown. I try my best to make you feel as comfortable as possible and reach for the goals that you pick. I have a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and experience working with all ages. I have worked in a variety of settings assisting individuals struggling with mood disorders, severe trauma, depression, and anxiety. I work with individuals struggling with addiction and those who need assistance continuing on their life of recovery. My experience also reflects time working with victims of Domestic Violence.

I get how life can feel overwhelming at times. Maybe its stress at work, maybe a relationship, maybe we are unsure of why we feel the way we do. I'm here to help you take it one step at a time. I believe in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which in basic terms means that our thoughts impact our feelings, which change our behaviors. By focusing on any one of these three, the other two may change as well. I also incorporate Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice, where I include mindfulness and exploring the grey area of life. I'm not here to judge or figure out if someone deserves something, but to listen and help you become the person you want to be. Each person has their own individual reason for coming for counseling and I understand that your story is not the same as others. But we, as humans, do share feelings and experiences, and you are not alone in your thoughts or feelings.
