I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Mississippi with over 4 years of experience working in various clinical settings. Although the bulk of my experience is working with college students, I have worked with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings, treating individuals with a variety of issues ranging from anxiety and depression to paranoia and psychosis. I also have considerable experience working with high functioning individuals on the autism spectrum, those with mood disorders, people suffering from grief/loss, family or relationship issues, and adjustment issues. I also enjoy working with individuals with unwanted sexual behavior (e.g., porn addiction, marital coercion).

As a social worker, my approach is client-centered and solution-focused, which basically means that I view the client as the expert of their life while we work collaboratively toward solutions to their identified problems. Within the therapeutic relationship, I strive to be open and accepting while providing direct feedback and modeling appropriate boundaries to facilitate growth and change. I use a variety of mindfulness-based skills and practices coupled with cognitive-behavioral strategies to reach practical treatment goals.
