I am licensed in Texas with five years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma, abuse, parenting issues, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. My specialty area is working with teens ages 13-19.
Choosing a counselor for your teen can be a daunting task. My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to help make you and your teen feel accepted, heard, and valued. Teens can benefit from therapy in so many ways and I want to make the experience a great one. Whatever the concern that brings your teen to counseling, your child and I will spend time getting to know one another. I will address and assist their needs while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where your teen feels comfortable and safe. I meet children where they are at, using art, music and other natural forms of communication to facilitate a trusting relationship that will foster their willingness to share, connect, and express feelings they may be having.
With a background in school counseling and special education, I work with teens, adolescents, their families, special needs, and teen mothers. Christian counseling is available upon request.
