About
For over two decades I have worked in social services with all age groups and diverse populations in multiple capacities including counselor, advocate, instructor, facilitator, and program director. After receiving my Masters in Counseling in 2013 I have been working as a counselor with older adults and their families for the past six years.
I use a holistic, strengths based approach in counseling, integrating the mind, body, spirit and emotions. I believe that we deserve to be living in a way that is nurturing and satisfying to our whole selves. Often arriving at that place involves dealing with pain and struggle, which may feel overwhelming. No one has to do this alone. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can be a safe space to heal and grow.
You will find me to be warm, open and genuine. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, older adults and families from culturally diverse backgrounds, treating mental health, emotional and behavioral difficulties, adjustment and relationship issues. Common areas of focus in my work are grief and loss, transitions, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relational struggles, and self-esteem.
