I am compassionate about helping others and assisting you into a sense of peace and calmness. I have been in the human service field for most of my adult life (over 20 years). I received my MSW at Fordham University in New York. I specialize in trauma and the complex impacts. Having a strong understanding of earlier experiences and negative exposure is critical. Validating one's feelings is crucial as feelings can be hard to sort through on your own and also confusing. Having a special therapeutic relationship to address, identify and process unresolved emotions, unpleasant memories, intrusive thoughts and chronic feelings of hopelessness can make a huge difference in ones' life. A specialized plan tailored to meet ones' own needs is first and foremost. A warm and calming environment in a safe space is important for emotional growth. My areas of expertise include: trauma, loneliness, identity issues, low self-esteem, depression, insecure attachment style of relating to others, conflictual relations, anxiety, family dynamic concerns, domestic violence, marital/couples counseling, and divorce. Healthy skill building, emotional growth and improving in self-care is the best gift you can give yourself.
