I began my career as a classroom teacher and have taught elementary, middle school, and college levels. While teaching, I earned a Master's of Reading Education which helps me understand life stages and growth in my clients. For personal growth and to serve clients better, I have taken a two hundred hour Yoga Teacher training and use many relaxation and breathing exercises in my therapy work. Integrative health is important to me. Talking about lifestyle, thinking patterns, personal satisfaction and happiness and satisfying relationships are key to my work. Modalities are Person Centered, Adlerian, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and a Life Balance Approach. I have experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, Employee Assistance, working with Parolees referred by the Criminal Justice System, Gaming Addiction as well as being a certified Gambling Addiction counselor. I have also had training in Hoarding treatment and incorporate art, bibliotherapy, and movement into my work. I love being a therapist and seeing my clients learn tools that will make them stronger and fulfilled in life. Every person is unique and it is my calling to work with individuals who want to feel better and with with less hurt in their lives.
