About

I am a mental health therapist (LMHC) licensed in Iowa with several years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. My experiences in this career path has lead me to work with clients with a wide range of presenting issues such as anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, depression, trauma, processing trauma, relationship obstacles and more. I am trained in EMDR and am currently working towards a greater understanding and certification in Internal Family Systems training (IFS).

My approach to each of my clients is based off of the individual, meeting them where they are at, providing support, compassion and understanding as well as respect for you and the experiences that formed you into the person you are today. I allow myself to utilized several modalities including humanistic, Rogerian (empathetic approach), existential theory and cognitive-behavior therapy. It is my privilege to provide a safe, non judgmental environment for my clients to achieve personal growth and wellbeing.

I firmly believe that when life presents you with adversity that it doesn't have to beat you down, but instead refine you, making you stronger, healthier, happier and more resilient. It can be a bit scary, stepping out of your comfort zone, choosing to do this important work. It takes courage and a willingness to work forward, whatever your pace, to a healthier, happier you.
