Hello! My name is Carmen. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, military spouse, mom of teenage boys and 4-year-old daughter, and bilingual Latinx-American (whew!). I attended USC for social work school. However, I went to UC Davis for undergrad so I am not against treating Bruins. Fight on! I specialize in women’s issues, men’s issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression – with a SUD lens. As a member of a mixed-race family, I have a unique understanding of different cultures. I am also a member of an LGBTQI family and military-affiliated so if you are within those subcultures I welcome the opportunity to help. My go-to modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing – but none of that is really important. What matters is that my approach is simple. I start where you are, and together we get you to where you want to be. Whatever that looks like. I am honored for the opportunity to help you in your quest.
