Hello there! My name is Carly Roach and I'm a licensed therapist in Michigan with four years of experience working as a therapist, and seven years working in the social work field. I received my Masters of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2016 and have since completed several in-depth trainings on different therapeutic modalities (see below for more information). I've been lucky to get to work with a variety of people who've come into therapy with a range of different concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting difficulties, self-esteem issues, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and people who have experienced trauma, among other concerns.

My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I approach people with a person centered and strengths based perspective and I believe it's incredibly important to have unconditional positive regard towards my clients. In my therapeutic practice, I draw from training I've received in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Using these approaches, we'll work together to make sure our dialog and treatment plan center on your specific needs.

My absolute favorite part of being a therapist is that when we are ready for it, it's possible for therapy to increase the quality of our lives and our relationships, not just with others, but with ourselves, too! I feel honored to get to be part of people's change and healing journeys in this very special way.
