Greetings! My name is Carisma Garrett. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the human services industry, working closely with families, adults, adolescents, and children. This includes individuals with learning and emotional disabilities, dual disorders developing long & short term solution-focused care plans for individuals with mental health issues along with substance abuse. I implement participation in the sanctuary model, which is theory-based trauma-informed, and trauma-responsive.

I am uniquely qualified to coordinate advanced care for Veterans and their family members, primarily to address and resolve a wide range of issues, implementing solution-based, grounding, and other techniques to instill calm and stability. This allows me to defuse/prevent potential or real-time crises such as suicidal ideations or other at-risk scenarios, indicating the possibility for self-harming or life-threatening circumstances.

I am passionate and unbiased about assisting individuals, so they can function independently with stability in their personal lives and careers by bringing healing to those who have been through traumatic/stressful experiences.
