About

​Hi! I'm Carisa. I began my career providing crisis response services in my community and local hospital, where I developed a deep awe of and respect for human resiliency in the face of unthinkable events. This set the trajectory for my future work experience, volunteerism and post-graduate training and certifications. A decade later, I am a certified clinical trauma specialist working towards a PhD in clinical traumatology. I have volunteered as a disaster mental health worker for the Red Cross and am currently a disruptive event management specialist responding to a variety of workplace crises.

Over the years, I have worked with countless individuals and families and have had the incredible privilege of bearing witness to both the depths and the peaks of human experience. It is always an honor to be invited on this journey. My primary goal is to accompany and serve my clients to the best of my ability and be a little better every day. I have found that I do this best by blending specialized evidence-based care with compassion, kindness and empathy.
