About
Hello! I am a postdoctoral fellow and a recent graduate from Adler University, where I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and completed my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015 from Northwestern University. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from DePaul University in 2012. I utilize evidence-based therapy interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, I hold a certification in DBT. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, empathic, and non-judgmental space and I genuinely view the therapeutic relationship as one that is collaborative. I aim to take an active role in helping to facilitate a space that fosters openness, inclusivity, and a sense of feeling seen and heard. I have ten years of experience working with couples, families, individuals, and in providing group therapy. I have worked in various clinical settings including psychiatric inpatient units, correctional and forensic settings, hospital settings, and in private practice. I am a strong advocate and ally for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. I am also committed to my own personal and professional journey of cultural humility, ongoing learning, and self-reflection.
