***Please Note: Candace Southall is a provider within Headway’s provider network. After booking your appointment you will receive an email from Headway with instructions to setup your Headway patient account. You will need to complete this setup in order to confirm your appointment.*** Life can be challenging and there are times when we experience struggles or frustration. My goal is to help you learn to work through your problems. Often times someone just needs someone that is not biased to listen to them and someone that can offer support. That is where I am able to assist. Depending on client preference, I am able to provide either faith-based or secular counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. In 2009, I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. I began my career in case management in 2011. I completed my Masters degree in Counseling from Liberty University in 2014 and shortly after began my teaching career while interning for my counseling license. As of now, I am still a teacher and see clients in private practice in the evenings. I received my Ph.D in Psychology at Grand Canyon University in 2020. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and relationship issues but my counseling focus also includes grief, anger management, career counseling, spirituality, self esteem, parenting, and family conflict. I work with individuals, families, and couples to provide the space for growth and change, alleviate distress, and offer healing and hope. The types of therapy I provide include: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Christian Counseling, Coaching, Culturally Sensitive, Marital, Family Systems, Interpersonal, Relational, and Solution Focused Brief (SFBT). Finding the right therapist is an important decision that is not to be taken lightly. I encourage you to contact me so that we can make decisions together regarding your specific needs and treatment.
