About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. I have 20 years of experience working with people of most ages (3 years old to 105 years old) and has included working with individuals, couples, families and groups. The work I have done with these folks has focused on troubles such as depression, anxiety, parenting challenges and family struggles, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, as well as life changes and recognizing one’s true identity.

Everyone has a story. The parts of your story you choose to share and the words that you use to share your story are important; those words can lift you up or pull you down. I genuinely enjoy listening to people’s stories and helping them to find new ways to understand their situation and to adapt and grow. I believe that therapy should be a setting where people feel safe and comfortable with sharing thoughts, feelings, experiences, etc. without fear of being judged.

As a therapist, I use warmth, compassion, and humor to understand each person I meet. I put a lot of emphasis on building trust and fostering healthy and open communication. My goals during each session are to promote growth and to build upon the strengths that my clients already have.
