I am licensed in Washington with 5 years of professional work experience. I earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree from Seattle University in 2006, and received a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2015. I previously worked for Providence Hospice of Seattle for 6 years as both a care team social worker and grief counselor. I specialize in working with grieving individuals, particularly bereaved men and young widows/widowers. Using concepts and tools from mainstream grief theories I provide grief counseling, support and education to those experiencing the loss of a significant person, or grief due to divorce, chronic illness, relationship change, and other significant life transitions, as well as depression and anxiety. I also have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage.
