Hi! My name is Buffie, and I'm a lover of art, music, travel, and adventure of life.

Working together, my approach is fluid and open to change based on what works best for you. That said, this is a safe, judgment-free space and I value your feedback. I like to describe therapy as a place of healing where you can be assisted in healing and navigating your needs. Wherever you're at on your journey, I'm willing to meet you where you are and support you in reaching your desired goal.

I have a master's degree from Troy University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama. My experience over the last eighteen years includes working as a home-based therapist to children and families, working with teens and adults at a private practice, working with military families and facilitating a grief support groups. Prior to my work as a therapist, I was a director for a federal program.

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, using various techniques including motivational interviewing, positive psychology, solutions focused therapy, person-centered therapy, acceptance and psychoeducation, and art and play therapy. I'm also a diversity and inclusion therapist and a strong proponent for wilderness and nature therapy.
