About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker workings for a major Hospice and Palliative care provider in Orlando, Florida. While working in this specialty, I provide resources and counseling services to individuals who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, support their families and help them cope with the impending loss of their loved one. I am proud to say that I have helped many individuals and families understand and process issues including depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, major life transitions, loss of control, major illness, and general decision making.

I also work part-time as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Central Florida's social work program. Providing education is a big part of the therapeutic process and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to practice providing education to college students on a weekly basis. It has helped me tremendously with finding different ways of providing information and methods of checking to see if the concept is fully understood.

I used to work for the National Suicide Prevention Line. Through this experience I learned how to deal with a variety of different crisis situation over the phone and helped clients develop a short term safety plan.

My approach to counseling is a collaborative and optimistic one. I want to work with you to help you achieve whatever your mental health and personal growth goals are. My clients are the kings and queens of their own lives and I am the advisor to the throne. The more I learn about my clients kingdoms, the better I can advise them. As such, I really encourage my clients to be open and honest with me. But I understand trust is earned and I hope you will give me the opportunity to earn that trust.

I admire that you're willingness to put yourself out there and seek help for personal challenges. I truly respect people who take calculated risks to improve their lives. As such, I will not waste your time, and I will do what I can with the time we have to discuss ways of achieving your goals. Hope to chat with you soon!
