About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the state of Texas, with over 7 years of experience working as a counselor, behavior modification and life coach. I have worked with a wide range of clients and concerns including ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. In addition, I have helped many people who have experienced trauma including physical, emotional and sexual abuse. I have counseled many children, families and individuals in a variety of settings.

Currently I run a non-profit for abused and foster children and their families. We merge talk therapy with neurofeedback or brain training, as well as biofeedback which includes breathing and mindfulness techniques. I use my knowledge of the brain and body to help clients learn to calm and reach a healthier emotional state.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe therapy and change should be challenging, but also fun. It is important to me to treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, mindfulness, coaching, attachment and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

My own personal story of growth and change throughout life provides me with firsthand experience of mental health struggles and triumphs. As a husband and stepparent, I have firsthand experience navigating relationships in a marriage and with stepchildren.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and content life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
Bryan
