Hello! My primary training is in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help people struggling with addiction and substance abuse heal and recover, repair and improve relationships, and live a value oriented life. Throughout my training I've learned to treat anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems, and the other issues that accompany addiction. I like to use a mindfulness based approach as I find it is an easy way to heal the brain and get to the root of the problem, but it does take practice! My own mindfulness journey started long before I became a therapist and I can confidently say, I wouldn't be here today without it. I went to school at the University of Utah for both a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I'm also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research based trauma treatment commonly used for PTSD.
