Dr. Brittany Peters has over 15 years of experience in community mental health as a clinician, advocate, consultant, and clinical director. Currently, Dr. Brittany is the vice president of Behavioral Health for a child welfare & behavioral health organization, owns and operates a private practice, and teaches collegiate courses for two major universities. Dr. Brittany received her BSW and MSW for Florida State University and her Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Tenness-Knoxville. As a licensed clinical social worker certified in addictions, Dr. Brittany devotes much of her time to improving clinical services in the community through the training and development of counselors and other professionals. Continuing her belief in civic engagement, Dr. Brittany works on many boards and committees at a local and state level, that focus on substance misuse, child welfare, and community mental health. Dr.Brittany serves on the Statewide Dependency Court Improvement Panel (DCIP), is the current President of the Board of directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Pinellas (NAMI), serves as a board member for the Pinellas Black Health Equity Alliance (BHEA), and serves many other community organizations.
