About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of training and experience helping individuals heal from and overcome the effects of trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, parent-child relationship difficulties, attachment disorders, work-life imbalance, chronic illness, poor self-esteem, and negative/toxic thought patterns. I also work with adults with ADHD to manage executive dysfunction, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation and reactivity, build relationships, improve communication, improve self-esteem and self-acceptance, and go from a feeling of surviving to thriving.

I enjoy helping parents find ways to connect, build security, and strengthen attachments with their children through various stages of life. Parenting can bring up trauma triggers and/or strained relationships from your childhood that can lead to difficulty controlling your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I offer a reflective process to help individuals to identify these triggers and develop strategies for coping with flashbacks, emotional dysregulation, negative thought patterns, and improve communication among family members.

I have received advanced training in Perinatal Mood Disorders to best support parents experiencing, or at risk of, mental health disorders during pregnancy and/or postpartum. 1 in 5 women will experience a mental health condition during pregnancy or postpartum, making mental health the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth. Suicide is a leading cause of maternal death in the first year following childbirth. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, isolation, difficulty bonding with or attaching to your baby, you are not alone and there is help and hope. I work with both moms and dads to support you through this overwhelming life transition, whether this is your first, second, third, or fifth child - Each addition to the family is a big change!

Reaching out for help, sharing your most vulnerable moments, trusting another person, or even just beginning the healing process can feel intimidating! You are so brave to make it to this point! I invite you into a safe space for support, that is free of judgment, where you can lay your burdens down and begin to find your path to thrive.
