About
Sometimes we all need a helping hand, a listening ear, or a trusted confidant. When life seems to be too much & you're looking for some extra support, the thought of having someone there to walk through the valleys of life with you can make all the difference. I have more than ten years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, & families. I am an eclectic therapist, meaning I do not subscribe to any one therapeutic modality as I believe the therapeutic process is fluid. As a therapist, I strive to be the same. I have successfully helped my clients manage attention deficit/hyperactivity, bipolar, depressive, trauma & stress-related, impulse-control, & personality disorders. I specialize in healing work designed to address complex race-based & sexual traumas. I use nontraditional therapeutic methods such as music, movement, art, and mindfulness practices that allow for more profound creativity & a more individualistic experience in therapy. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior therapy, Anger Replacement Therapy, Strengthening Families, and Seeking Safety, to name a few. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Afro Ethnic & Chicano/Chicana studies from Cal State Fullerton and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University. If you are looking for a therapist who is well-versed in a plethora of theoretical frameworks & has extensive clinical experience across various age groups & settings, I would be honored to begin your journey toward healing with you whenever you are.
