Every new day is a new chance to change your life. My name is Brittany Brown and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of Alabama, and my Master of Education degree at The University of Montevallo. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have years of experience in working with clients with substance use and co-occuring disorders who may also suffer from anxiety, depression, mood disorders, etc. I am also skilled in assisting clients with conflict resolution, suicide risk prevention, crisis intervention, and needs assessment. I have utilized several different counseling techniques including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy.

My style of therapy is warm and personal because I believe it is extremely important to establish good rapport as it helps the counseling relationship and creates a comfortable and safe environment. I enjoy helping my clients to identify the positives in negative situations as I believe in order to see progress one must first believe that achieving it is possible. My goal is to assist you in expressing what you want and need in order to reach your full potential. Change is possible and it is not always as hard as we think.
