Hello and welcome!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I am originally from Tennessee. I earned my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and moved to Florida almost three years ago. I have over 4 years of experience working with clients who experience a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. I have also worked with people experiencing relationship difficulties, family conflict, and times of adjustment in their lives.

My counseling style is interactive and strengths-based. I believe that the counseling relationship is a place where you can work on growth in whatever way is most meaningful to you. I believe in the inherent values of empathy and respect for others. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing therapies. Our time together will be based on your specific needs and goals and I will tailor our conversations to that.

It takes such courage to reach out for support. I am here to walk with you on your journey and help you identify and take the first steps towards change and growth. Therapy can be such a powerful thing, and having a foundation where you feel heard and can trust in the relationship is a priority for me.
