About

I am an experienced therapist that believes in a holistic, individualized, and strengths-based treatment approach. I obtained my bachelor's and master's degree from Indiana University and have since worked in a variety of different settings within a large hospital system and community mental health center. My experience has been working extensively with substance use disorders and other mental health diagnoses. I provide regular training to other treatment providers in the hospital system where I work on best-practice treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. I often apply a variety of different treatment modalities in therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I am certified in mind-body medicine and enjoy practicing these techniques as often as possible with clients that are interested. Utilizing mind-body medicine aids in healing psychological trauma and stress in an effective evidence-based way. It brings together a variety of techniques drawn from the world’s healing traditions as well as modern medicine to help whole clients learn to heal themselves. Constructing lasting connections and building on the strengths of client's to help empower them to meet treatment goals is something that I am very passionate about.
