About

Humans are wired to connect and my goal as a therapist is to create a supportive alliance with you that is first and foremost based on trust, respect, and understanding. I believe that therapy is a unique experience, in which one can feel safe and supported in exploring themselves, develop new perspectives, build self-compassion, and find true purpose. Over time, we will work together to overcome barriers, enhance skills, and promote confidence to help you achieve your goals. The most important part of our work is that you get to define what that looks like for you. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome negative beliefs they may have about themselves, others, or the world, specifically after a trauma or an adverse life experience. My clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), allows me to have a unique perspective to help individuals identify what is keeping them stuck and find ways to create a new narrative to their lives. In addition to trauma, I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, addictions, ADHD, and relationship concerns. I also enjoy drawing from a strengths-based perspective to enhance an individual’s skills and abilities. Additionally, I incorporate mindfulness strategies to best support self-regulation of the mind and body as well as promote self-trust. I am a licensed master social worker and hold a license to practice in New York and Maryland. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have experience working in various settings, including residential programs, schools, and outpatient mental health clinics. I enjoy working with both children and adults of all ages. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to treat PTSD and am pursuing certification in TEAM-CBT. I would love the opportunity to build a partnership with you, one in which we work together.
