Hello! My name is Brittany and I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Michigan. I have been working for 3 years doing intensive In-Home therapy for troubled youth and families. I graduated from The Professional School of Psychology in 2018 with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I obtained my TF-CBT (Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) certification in 2021. I have also worked in a outpatient program in a clinical setting. Before counseling I worked as a lead therapist providing ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy to the autism population. I also have experience in Community Living Service and Respite services. I have experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Pathological Demand Avoidance.

My primary therapy orientation Person Centered. My approach also includes cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness based, psychodynamic and Reality therapy. I believe in treating anyone with respect, compassion and fairness. Within my approach I practice empathy, emotional validation, active listening and unconditional positive regard. I will always take time to modify your treatment plan and behavioral methods to meet your specific needs. I recognize my role as both a leader and a follower in the therapy process to promote client change and create and build a stable and strong rapport.

My goal is to guide people of all ages in working towards healing trauma, gaining self-awareness and expanding on what has worked for the client and their lifestyle.
