Hello! My name is Brittaney and I am a Licensed Psychotherapist. I have a master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University. I was drawn to this field due to my own trauma background and the passion to help others heal and grow through a psychological and mindfulness lens. I have experience working with survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. I have worked with children and teens in the foster-care system as well as families who were at risk of having their children removed from the home. I very much enjoy helping others heal from trauma and I am Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certified (TFCBT). I also have experience helping others better cope with symptoms from Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Adjustment/Life transitions, ADD/ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and other life stressors. I have taught parenting classes and have worked closely with parents who want to learn new parenting skills. I believe the most important factor in succeeding in treatment is the therapeutic relationship; I want to get to know you as much as I want to help you overcome the life difficulties you are experiencing. I create a non-judgmental, non-threatening, safe space in order for you to share your experiences with me. I believe in collaborating to find small realistic goals while using your strengths as a way to better cope. I also use mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques to better help you to reach your goals in therapy.
