About
I am a licensed therapist and a licensed Clinical Addictions Therapist. I am also trained in Satir Family Systems Therapy. I have spent the last 13 years working with individuals ages 14 to 80! I have spent the same amount of years supporting those individuals who may be struggling with chronic and progressive medical diagnoses, who may be suffering from depression, anxiety, hopelessness and chronic pain secondary to those medical challenges. I also work with adults that are feeling like they have lost a sense of identity, purpose, meaning, or are "burned out." Transitions are a part of life, and what used to work may not be working anymore, and that's okay. I'm here to listen to your story, how you feel you have arrived at your current state, and what vision you would like to create for your future.
In addition, I am a trauma informed clinician. I have been treating adolescents to older adults who have experienced traumatic events in their life. I utilize my training in the neurobiology of anxiety disorders, PTSD, addiction, and developmental disorders to have conversations with clients who may find it helpful in their process. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing and Seeking Safety Trauma model. I have been trained in Family Systems therapy since 2013, and it is a true passion of mine in my work.
Something unique about my work is that I’m trained in Equine assisted psychotherapy and animal assisted therapy. Equine assisted psychotherapy is partnering with a horse to help you become aware of your feelings, your body, your communication, and how your experiences have defined interaction with others. This model is exceptionally effective to treat trauma and anxiety disorders.
Most importantly it is my job to help you find hope, light, vision, and balance. These things are found through establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship, and a sense of connection and authenticity.
You are welcome to message me anytime through Find A Therapist. I usually check messages daily, seven days per week. I offer messaging, live chat and phone sessions with limited availability in the evenings and weekends.
I look forward to meeting you!
