Hello, I am Britani Lalone, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. I completed my graduate work at St. Thomas and Undergrad at the University of Minnesota. I am currently practicing in Community Mental Health where I work with individuals with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use Disorder, and PTSD.
I take a person centered approach to counseling, focusing on not just the issue but the environment. I work with many therapeutic tools; including Dialectical Behavioral skills for emotion regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation; exposure therapy skills; and anger management. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my preferred treatment. We will explore thought patterns and the core beliefs which drive our automatic thoughts and control behaviors and emotions. Together we will challenge and change these beliefs, if we find they are unhelpful, unrealistic, or untrue. I want to help create a healthier overall you.
