Bridget is a New York City based mental health counselor who believes that each and every person can benefit from supportive therapy. She strives to build genuine, meaningful relationships with every client. As a counselor Bridget works to focus on the strengths of the individual person and cultivate the abilities they already bring to the table. She is trained in multiple therapies including client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused therapy, and collaborates with her clients to establish which type of therapy works best for them. Bridget offers culturally informed counseling for adults and is an experienced provider of affirmative therapy for the LGBTQ+ community. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, issues within interpersonal relationships, and stress management. She likes to provide tools for her clients to better cope with life’s stressors and often incorporates mindfulness and relaxation training into her sessions.
