Bridget is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Bridget received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMurry University and her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University. Bridget is a member of the Big Country Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, and the Texas Sandtray Association. Her certifications include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Prepare and Enrich™️.
Bridget has experience in the treatment of a wide variety of ages in the following settings: inpatient mental health treatment, trauma, university counseling centers and crisis intervention for suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and psychosis. Bridget’s clinical focus is these issues as well as trauma and complex PTSD, childhood issues and other influential experiences from the past, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, low self esteem and identity, premarital and marriage, and highly sensitive persons (HSP’s).
Bridget’s approach to counseling is eclectic. She believes in meeting her clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique circumstances. Bridget utilizes Sandtray Therapy with clients who can benefit from this modality. Bridget considers it an honor to provide a validating, empathetic environment to promote healing and growth towards the clients goals.
