My belief as a therapist is to be an addition to one's support system who can provide perspective and tools to regain confidence in order to overcome presenting issues or experiences. I will never claim to be an expert on someone's life and will always provide unconditional positive regard for whomever chooses to work with me. We will identify strengths, resilience, and helpful coping strategies. I will challenge you to identify unhelpful thinking and/or behavior patterns, increase communication skills to empower you to advocate for yourself across settings, and provide an opportunity for personal growth leading to a healthier you. I will be honored to be part of your journey.

I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I have experience working with addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, LGBTQIA+, families, and individuals ranging in age from 5 to 70. I tend to use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach in my work. However, I value the interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness therapy. When working with families I often refer to attachment therapy, family system therapy, and building communication skills between members of the system.
