I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000. My focus is on the client's voice and what changes or adjustments the client wants to make. Change is difficult for everyone so a positive, supportive and trusting relationship is key to the therapeutic process. Some of my work experience centers around families, the parent child relationship, bonding and attachment, trauma, adoption and foster care. I am also experienced in relationship concerns, motivation and self confidence, difficulties with life changes, self harm, depression and anxiety. I love to work with new mothers who are trying to "juggle it all". I am a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner and trained under Dr. Karyn Purvis personally. In this model, the focus is to build a trusting parent child relationship which ultimately makes for a much happier home life. Other experience includes working with adult adoptees and adopted children/teens with adjustment disorders and depression and/or anxiety. In the past six years, I have also been working with clients struggling with a TBI and how to adjust to the changes a brain injury can bring to the individual and their family. My focus with every client is to allow the client to be heard by active listening. I am skilled with CBT, DBT, TBRI, strengths based therapy, attachment therapy, solution focused and trauma focused interventions. My goal is to strengthen your connections with yourself, your relationships and your environment. I would love to work together to meet your needs.
