Hello, and welcome. My name is Brian Rice, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. I have been licensed since 2016 and have over 8 years experience in the field of counseling. I became interested in psychology and therapy while taking an introductory course during high school and that interest continued into college. I received my degree in psychology from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and completed my Master's Degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University in Culver City.

When doing therapy, I work in an eclectic style, adjusting to the needs of the client, though I do favor Solution Focused and Cognitive behavioral therapy. I both challenge and support those that I work with and believe greatly in the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is often seen as greatly serious and formal, but in my experience, being human and in the moment is much more beneficial.

I have experience in working with many different ages, populations, and issues. Some of the areas I have experience in are: couple's counseling (marital, pre-marital, relationships), family therapy, child therapy, grief, depression and anxiety. My work in these areas has helped me to become well-rounded therapist and develop a style that fits my clients. They have also taught me to strive to learn and grow which is what I hope for in those I work with in therapy.
