As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) I feel privileged every day to get to know so many different people, as each of you make me see a new piece of what our human struggle is all about. As you share with me your story and your needs, I want to understand you and offer the support you need to gain relief, empower you to grow as you face tough questions and difficult circumstances, and ultimately manage your condition, whether it be something temporary or lifelong.

About my counseling background, I have had the benefit of working in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, residential treatments, play therapy rooms, client’s homes, and private practice. I am lucky to have been trained by specialists within these settings, so that I might be helpful to you in a wide scope of difficulties, ranging from relationship problems and identity issues to mood, trauma, and psychotic disorders.

As far as treatment goes, I will likely be offering you Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and my reasons are that 1) these are evidence-based treatments that have helped many people in wide range of issues and conditions, and 2) I am passionate and wired for these approaches. The basic process is that I will form a great working alliance with you, so that we can confidently structure the counseling experience to help you to gain awareness into your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and unmet attachment needs. By building this foundation you will be empowered to pursue new kinds of attitudes, beliefs, decisions, and experiences.

Having said all of this, every client is unique, and I am very flexible and adaptable, and able to tailor what we do to whatever your needs are. I would very much look forward to working with you in the near future!
