As a licensed mental health counselor since 1996 I have helped people with problems related to relationship and family conflict, work stress, social anxiety, life transition, health concerns and addictions. All ages have been served in community agencies, residential facilities, a hospital EAP or employee assistance program and in private practice.

Modalities used are solution-focused therapy, holistic counseling and EFT - emotional freedom technique.
My approach is humanistic, client-centered and Rogerian. My style is calm and unassuming . My intention is to help clients with immediate desired outcomes as well as with clarifying and describing a preferred future to move toward using individual inner strengths and resources. Client feelings and autonomy are honored in the process.

While earning a master's degree in psychology at Antioch U. West., in Los Angeles, I first began counseling as one of nine therapists at the Primal Institute. My background also includes coaching in natural diet and lifestyle and making a living as a professional folksinger.

If you are new to therapy, please know that no specific level of education or knowledge of psychology terms is needed.
