Hello. I am a clinical social worker in Maine and Massachusetts. You are taking a great step to start therapy. It’s not an easy step to take. I’m here for you so you can have the life you believe is possible – happy, resilient, healthy and joyful. “Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own thoughts.” We cannot change the past. We can use it to make the present and the future meaningful and fulfilling. I have experience with a wide range of people and problems. I am psychotherapist, a meditation instructor, a yoga teacher, and an emotional intelligence coach. I’ve worked in many different settings, with individuals and families who’ve been faced with all kinds of problems. I’ve been an outpatient clinician in a very busy community health center. I’ve worked with teens in schools and in juvenile court. An important part of my experience has been working with grief and trauma, two experiences that can be very difficult to manage.
I establish a stable environment for you. You are recognized, validated, and respected. I graduated from my MSW program with honors, and my research has won awards. I work hard for the clients benefit and have made it my priority to learn powerful techniques that work. One aspect of the role of therapist is to be a reflective surface that is supportive, kind and truthful. Another is to be a source of courage for the client as they commit to the work.
The commitment that I make to my clients is based on the core belief that we are all basically good, and that to feel good is dignified and the right of every person. I look forward to working with you.
