Hello and congratulations on taking steps to take care of yourself! I am Licensed Professional Counselor serving the Northeast Arkansas area with 7 plus years’ experience working with individuals and families of all ages and across many settings, including outpatient, crisis response, school-based, and substance abuse treatment. I've worked with a broad spectrum of disorders, including severe mental illness, mood disorders, stress, anxiety, depression, child and adult ADHD, trauma, grief, phase of life issues, LGBTQ+, and parent-child interaction. I hold additional certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as well as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. I employ a range of techniques with emphasis on Solution-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I hold a teaching degree and license from Williams Baptist University and practiced as a Secondary English teacher in the Arkansas for years before pursuing my Ed.S in Psych and Counseling from Arkansas State University.
What I most enjoy in my work is connecting with others and helping them to achieve their goals, whether it be struggling through the grief process, overcoming trauma, communicating effectively, or just getting ahead in everyday life, because sometimes we all feel stuck. My approach is friendly, empathetic, educational, and person-centered. I meet an individual or family where they are in that moment and offer support and unconditional acceptance to help them get where they want to be.
