My name is Brandi Sawyer and I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor from East Texas. I graduated from Stephen F Austin State University and have been working with clients in agency settings for 11 years. I have experience with a variety of clinical issues and my areas of primary interest include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression and mood issues, relationship and attachment issues, and issues related to adjustment and coping.

My counseling style can be described as warm, supportive, and collaborative as well as challenging. I believe all individual have untapped strengths to handle life problems and experiences. For some, these strengths need to be discovered and fostered through a helping relationship. My counseling approach is eclectic but rooted in cognitive-behavioral theory and techniques as well as an attachment perspective. I serve as a co-explorer and work with clients to determine their needs, gain insight, and make significant changes towards their goals.
