The client has a history of trauma and needs help processing what has happened. The client aims to make peace with the past and move forward. They want to attend therapy for a safe space to talk about the trauma and to be heard. The client is embarrassed to tell those close to her and feels it best to discuss the topic in therapy. I can provide a safe, judge-free space for the client. I can be present and listen to her. I would use TF-CBT and exposure therapy to help the client process what has happened and create her narrative. Thank you for sharing your story with me.
