About
Hello, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California with over 10 years of experience working as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Behavior Intervention Specialist, and a teacher for the Emotional Disturbed high school population. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, relationship issues, parenting concerns (intact, blended, and foster care families), behavioral concerns, attachment, couples, and women’s issues, among others. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My background includes working with all ages, genders, and backgrounds. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and very much client centered. I will always meet you where you are at with unconditional positive regard. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. I passionately believe the relationship and rapport I build with you is the strongest component of therapy. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solutions-focused, mindfulness, narrative, and family systems theory. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. In our therapeutic environment, we will build on strengths you already have and learn to incorporate new thoughts and behaviors. We will utilize a wide variety of applicable techniques, or I will just listen. Each session is tailored to what you need at that moment. This is about you, and I am committed to being a part of your success. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I absolutely love what I do, and I look forward to working with you. I look at mental health therapy as positive self-care, I hope you enjoy your journey. I look forward to working with you!
